Petr Soukup
Petr Soukup is the director of the Institute of Sociological Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. After his training in Statistics (Economic University in Prague) he also studied Sociology (Faculty of Social Sciences in Prague). He finished his Ph.D. in Sociology in 2017 on the topic of Statistical and Substantive Significance in social sciences. He specializes mainly in advanced techniques of quantitative data analysis, and research focuses on the sociology of education. In recent years, he has published several articles in the field od sociology of education and school psychology. He is co(author) of two books about data analysis in SPSS. He is a promoter of the use of statistics in the field of social sciences, organizes seminars and summer and winter schools.
