On March 2023, we received a note that Clarivate discontinued coverage of the ERIE conference in Web of Science for 2021 and 2022. In their evaluation, Clarivate found that the conference did not meet 2 out of 26 new criteria: the Committee Composition and Sponsorship.
A set of 26 new criteria applies from 2021. We are very sorry that we failed two formal criteria. The quality of the papers or review process were not addressed, and we clearly passed the evaluation in these criteria. We honourably did our best to meet all 26 criteria to the fullest extent.
As you know, the conference proceedings are evaluated each year individually. We find it very unfortunate that the evaluation of the years 2021 and 2022 has only arrived at one time this year.
We demanded Clarivate provide us with more details. Unfortunately, Clarivate does not explain the reasons for criteria failure in the case of conferences. We filed an appeal and a request for clarification, but it was denied.
We sincerely apologize to all the authors for the effort they put into creating their papers, and we know that it was not easy to go through the high-quality review process.
