Irem Çomoglu works as an Associate Professor at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Education, English Language Teaching Department, Izmir, Turkey. She has been a teacher educator for more than 20 years, specialising in pre-service teacher learning and development. She has published widely in national and international journals and books on English language teacher education. Her recent research is focused on the place of research in teaching and teacher education. In her research she adopts the qualitative research paradigm to understand teachers' perspectives.
